At Epidote Consulting we understand the importance of spaces in health and healing. Our consulting rooms are more than just spaces—they’re crafted with care to enhance the therapeutic experience. We’re here to support your practice and help you focus on what matters most: your clients.
Amanda is an experienced psychologist who values long-term therapy for adults, supporting individuals through anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, self-esteem issues, and interpersonal challenges. She takes a client-centred approach, drawing on evidence-based frameworks such as interpersonal psychotherapy, psychodynamic and schema therapy approaches, with acceptance, solution-focused, and mindfulness techniques interplayed.
Central to Amanda’s work is identifying relational and behavioural patterns that may be affecting other areas of life. She believes therapy offers a space for compassionate exploration, where insights gained can foster meaningful change beyond the therapy room. By addressing self-esteem, identity, and communication patterns in a supportive setting, clients can begin to apply these understandings in their daily lives.
With extensive experience in trauma-informed care, Amanda recognises how past experiences shape the present and incorporates this awareness into all aspects of her work.
Amanda values environments that feel safe, inclusive, and calm, both in her clinical work and in everyday life. Outside of work, she finds creativity and rhythm to be grounding forces. Whether she’s playing the drums, working on an art project, or immersing herself in a great book, she appreciates the balance that music, art, and literature bring to her life.
Tegwen ("Tee-gan") is a registered psychologist with extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults.
Her approach is client-centred, trauma-informed and neuroaffirming, creating a safe and supportive space for individuals to explore their experiences, navigate challenges, and develop a deeper understanding of themselves. She is particularly passionate about supporting clients in managing anxiety, eating concerns, emotional distress, and interpersonal relationships.
With a background in various settings, including private practice, disability services, forensic, educational, and Out of Home Care (OoHC) environments - Tegwen brings a broad perspective to her work. She integrates evidence-based approaches tailored to each client’s unique needs, fostering self-awareness, resilience, and meaningful change.
Outside of work, Tegwen enjoys movement, activity, and adventure. She is an avid basketballer, hiker, and gym goer, often spending weekends hiking with her dog, Leo. When unwinding, she enjoys reading on the couch or spending time outdoors in nature.
Amanda and Tegwen partnered to create Epidote Consulting out of a shared belief that high-quality mental health care starts with a supportive and well-designed space for practitioners.
Both have personal and professional experiences with neurodivergence, giving them a deep appreciation for the importance of inclusivity, accessibility, and environments that foster a sense of calm.
They recognised a gap in the availability of consulting rooms that prioritised both functionality and a true sense of community. More than just creating a professional space, they wanted to build a setting that respects the diverse sensory and environmental needs of both practitioners and their clients.
From thoughtful design choices to flexible working arrangements, Epidote is built on the understanding that a well-supported clinician is better able to provide meaningful care.
Their collaboration is driven by a mutual commitment to ethical practice, transparency, and flexibility. They understand the unique demands of working in allied health and have designed Epidote to take the stress out of finding a space to see clients.
By offering clear and straightforward agreements, well-maintained rooms, and an environment that fosters both independence and connection, Amanda and Tegwen have built a space where practitioners can focus on what matters most: delivering high-quality, client-centred care.
For them, Epidote isn’t just about leasing rooms, it’s about fostering a professional community where practitioners feel valued, supported, and able to work in a way that aligns with their values and the needs of their clients.
